Blue Moon Over Sears Island
An uncommon "Blue Moon" rises over Sears Island in Searsport, Maine on July 31, 2015. The term Blue Moon, as applied here, means that this is the second full moon in the same month. As you can see, it does not refer to its actual color! The full moon is reflected on the rippling waters of Penobscot Bay, a sailboat moored nearby.
