Hundreds, perhaps over one thousand people visited the 75 year old Deer Isle-Sedgwick Bridge on Saturday, June 21, 2014. The suspension bridge was closed to traffic and open only to pedestrians for one hour between 10am and 11am in celebration of it's 75-year existence. Another celebration took place immediately afterward for the new Bridge End Park, aptly named for its location.
